Salute to the Arts - A Food, Wine and Art Extravaganza

The Event –
Sonoma Salute to the Arts, a world-class promotional event, is Sonoma's cultural centerpiece and most dynamic fundraising vehicle. Approximately 25,000 connoisseurs from throughout the Bay Area and across the nation attend each year. The event generates overnight stays, and increases the number of visitors who patronize tasting rooms, restaurants, shops, and galleries in Sonoma County. We invite you to take advantage of the opportunities Salute to the Arts provides to promote your business.

We celebrate the seventeenth annual Salute to the Arts this year. Media sponsorship by KGO Newstalk AM 810, and ABC 7; corporate sponsorship from Visa U.S.A. Inc; sponsorship from numerous companies and publications, and poster art by award- winning artist David McMacken, will help underwrite costs and spread the word.

Support of Salute to the Arts has proven to be a worthwhile investment for Sonoma County businesses; and for regional and national sponsors. While generating millions of dollars of publicity as well as direct revenues for food, wine, agriculture, hospitality, and art industries, this showcase event benefits a variety of non-profit arts and cultural organizations. The Sonoma Valley Arts Alliance, Salute to the Arts' non-profit sponsor, contributes proceeds to nearly twenty benefiting non-profit organizations, and funds art scholarships for high school students. Your participation is not only a good investment in the promotion of your business, it is an investment in the arts and the quality of life in your community.

Corporate sponsorship, participation in the events, and advertising in the 60,000 copy event program are opportunities for exposure which Salute offers.

Advertising in the official 2002 Sonoma Salute to the Arts Program is an excellent chance to let a select audience know about your business. The deadline for ad placement is June 3. Salute participants will receive a 10% discount, and rental fees for The Plaza event will be waived for program advertisers of 1/4 page or more.

The Non-Profit Sponsor –
The Sonoma Valley Arts Alliance, established in 1986, assumed sponsorship of Salute to the Arts in 1988. The festival has enabled the Alliance to promote the arts; foster communication between artists, organizations, and the public; and to raise funding for the arts. Representatives from numerous non-profit organizations and businesses, as well as individual artists, comprise the organization's Board of Directors. The Sonoma Valley Arts Alliance contributes proceeds to nearly twenty benefiting non-profit organizations, and funds art scholarships for high school students.
