Salute Celebration- Happy Trails! - Discovering the Food, Wine, and Art of Sonoma!
Don your cowboy boots and glitzy western wear for Happy Trails - Discovering the Food, Wine, and Art of Sonoma! - the Salute Celebration opening night gala at Buena Vista Winery on Friday evening, July 25. An evening of sensational surprises will engage you from the moment of arrival. With two stages and a tasting room, The Salute Celebration is the most exciting food, wine and entertainment venue offered in Sonoma Valley each year. California Cowboys, one of California’s most successful country western bands, will deliver their own special brand of kick-up- your-heels country western rock. Garen Teed Western, featuring Sonoma’s own Garen Patterson and Friends, will welcome guests at the entry to the event and perform in the tasting room throughout the evening. On the Fountain Stage Tommy Thompson and the Western Jazz Band will perform the best of Western Swing. A second generation Sonoman, Tommy was inducted into the Western Swing Society Hall of Fame in 1995. He has played shows throughout California, Nevada, Texas, Oregon and Canada and has taken his music around the world. It is with great pleasure that Salute to the Arts welcomes this native son to the stage at The Salute Celebration.

Taste, sip, and swirl as you stroll down the winery’s tree shaded lane and kick up your heels beneath the stars to original tunes and country western rock. Pass through a tent filled with juried art competition entries and bid on works you can’t resist. (This will be the only opportunity to bid at silent auction prices. The exhibit pieces will be presented at retail prices in the Sonoma Plaza on Saturday and Sunday.) Pull on your cowboy boots and dance beneath the stars! Prepare for an evening of suprises - including western films presented by The Sonoma Valley Film Society. This is a party you won't want to miss!
