Visual Art Competition Exhibit & Silent Auction
July 28, 2006 to July 30, 2006 -- 5:30 PM to 4:00 PM - Silent Auction open from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday, 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday
Juried Fine Art Competition featuring Sculpture and Flat Works - A Sparkling Wine Reception for artists and event patrons will kick off the weekend at 5:30 pm on Friday, July 28.

Salute Celebration - Sonoma's Secret Spaces
July 28, 2006 -- 5:30 PM
At The Salute Celebration, Friday evening's opening night gala ~ Sonoma Salute to the Arts Comes of Age! ~ celebrate with food, wine, art & music at the Peak of Perfection in Sonoma's Secret Spaces. Don attire befitting a grand 21st birthday party and gather in Sonoma Plaza for a sparkling wine reception. The annual Art Competition Exhibit will be unveiled and you'll receive your passport to Sonoma's Secret Spaces ~ appropriately themed parties tucked into courtyards surrounding Sonoma Plaza. Get your passport stamped in each unique venue, filled with sumptuous surprises ~ tasty hors d'oeuvres, luscious wines, and fabulous music ~ to enter to win a surprise trip for two. Before evening's end be sure to take a turn on the glittering dance floor at Club 21!

An elegant, vibrant showcase of the culinary, winemaking, visual, performing, and literary arts, Salute brings together artists, chefs, food producers, brewmasters, and winemakers to present the best of Sonoma County. Free Admission - Tasting Packages available at The Event


Salute to the Arts Dinner & Live Auction
July 29, 2006 -- 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Raise your paddle high at Sonoma Golf Club, the elegant setting for this year's Sonoma Salute to the Arts Dinner & Live Auction on Saturday evening. The auction will feature large format bottles of wine painted by local artists, exclusive winemaker dinners, fine art including Dennis Ziemienski's original 2006 Salute to the Arts poster artwork; wine country excursions and getaways; and exotic vacation packages. Net proceeds fund scholarships for high school seniors in the visual, theatrical, musical, literary, culinary and winemaking arts; and provide funding for approximately twenty Sonoma Valley arts, cultural, and arts educational non-profit organizations.
