Salute to the Arts
Sample Sonoma’s Bounty
On Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30, sample Sonoma’s bounty in historic Sonoma Plaza. Taste an array of fine wines with gourmet cuisine; meander through fine art exhibits; enjoy open air performances ~ theater, dance, classical, and jazz concerts; meet local authors who have gathered beneath the trees to sign books. A showcase of the culinary, winemaking, visual, performing, and literary arts...
A Friendly Place which Specializes in Quality
You’ll help raise funding for some twenty non-profit organizations and get acquainted with Sonoma ~ a friendly place that specializes in quality. Plan to take home a taste of Sonoma! Art is highlighted throughout the weekend of Salute to the Arts events, and is supported throughout the year through net proceeds. It is the festival's purpose to promote the professional original art available in the community, encouraging art as a viable business and profession; and to assist non-profit arts organizations with promotion and fundraising. Through Sonoma's annual Salute to the Arts, the Sonoma Valley Arts Alliance funds scholarships for high school seniors interesting in pursuing careers in the arts. Stop by the Sonoma Valley Arts Alliance booth to add your own brush strokes to the art-for-all-ages mural created annually during the event. Taste Regional Cuisine, Premium Wines and Craft Brews
Taste regional cuisine as chefs present their favorite recipes, enjoy live cooking demonstrations presented by Viking Range Corporation, and sip current releases poured by premium Sonoma County wineries and local craft breweries at Salute to the Arts in historic Sonoma Plaza on Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30. Music and art will be presented on expansive lawns and beneath century old trees from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; food, wine and craft brew, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. See also: The Menu, The Wine List, and our Craft Brews & Beverages page.
