Salute to the Arts Dinner & Live Auction
Festivities continue at Saturday evening's Ninth Annual Sonoma Salute to the Arts Dinner and Live Auction at Sonoma Golf Club. Watch the sun set over a sumptuous dinner by Executive Chef Bruno Tison of the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. The Dinner and Live Auction will take place on the lawn and patio of the beautiful new Club House overlooking one of the most enticing golf courses on earth.
Raise your paddle high as the auction commences. Bid to win large format bottles of wine painted by local artists, exclusive winemaker dinners, fine art including original poster artwork by well known artist Dennis Ziemienski; wine country excursions and getaways; and exotic vacation packages. Net proceeds fund scholarships for high school seniors in the visual, theatrical, musical, literary, and culinary arts; and provide funding for some twenty Sonoma Valley arts, cultural, and arts educational non-profit organizations. Tison arrived at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn just prior to the 2004 unveiling of the completion of the Inn's $62 million dollar restoration. He comes to Sonoma Valley from New York, having served as Executive Chef of New York City's most prestigious property, The Plaza, since 1989. Originally from France, Tison has created parties for royalty from around the world, orchestrated weddings and divorce parties for the rich and famous including Ivana and Donald Trump, his former employers, as well as a host of movie stars including Michael Douglas and Eddy Murphy. Salute to the Arts Dinner & Live Auction Additional Ticket Information >>> Online sales for this event have ended. Call 707.938.1133 for availability before 3 pm on Friday, July 28. Proceeds Net proceeds from Salute to the Arts fund scholarships for high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in the arts; and provide funding for approximately 20 Sonoma Valley arts, cultural, and arts educational non-profit organizations. Proceeds enhance and enrich local endeavors from theatre and opera, to public school music programs and children's art classes throughout the year. The scholarship fund, established in 1998, provides awards for music, visual art, theater art, and literary students. In 2002 awards for promising culinary and enology/viticulture students were added. See Also:
