Salute Celebration - Sonoma's Secret Spaces
Sonoma Salute to the Arts annually honors Sonoma County's agricultural and cultural bounty. Its opening night gala is artistically themed with costuming and music each year. This year's tribute to The Art of Food and Wine promises extraordinary surprises in Sonoma's Secret Spaces ~ courtyards tucked into spaces around Sonoma Plaza. Each mini-gala will offer guests bountiful explosions of culinary, winemaking and musical delight, which celebrate food and wine masterpieces as depicted in film, literature, and the visual arts.
Don fanciful attire and gather in historic Sonoma Plaza at 6 pm for hte Visual Art Competition Reception & Awards Presentation, and unveiling of the Salute's Juried and Silent Auction. (The auction closes at 8:30 pm for the evening, and will be open for bidding throughout the weekend's daytime festivities, closing at 4 pm on Sunday afternoon).
Pick up your passport to Sonoma's Secret Spaces, which opens at 7 pm. Indulge in sumptuous surprises: tasty hors d'oeuvres, luscious wines, glamorous décor, stunning costuming, music, dancing ~ and more! Don't forget to get your passport stamped in each Secret Space to enter a drawing at evening's end.
Taste, sip, and swirl as you explore Sonoma's Secret Spaces, then kick up your heels beneath the stars... Indulge your sweet tooth at Chocolat, also featuring Ceszanne’s Peaches of Paris, at Red Wolf Gallery and Sign of the Bear. Seductive French music by Thibaut and Friends will compliment this luscious French film. Slip into the deep south at Sunflower Cafe with Fried Green Tomatoes and music by Simka, Sonoma’s ever popular café band. Take part in the harvest at Crush, presented by Don Sebastiani and Sons, where David Correa and Cascada play from the heart in the Casa Grande Courtyard. Savor the seductive flavors of Under the Tuscan Sun at the Mercato, with Italian accordion music by Christopher Eising. Feel the magic where Simply Irresistible lights up Sonoma Court Shops and Casino Royale rocks on the main stage. Sonoma Cheese Burgers and the DeJoy family’s annual smorgasbord of flavors will round out the evening with ample culinary offerings. This is a

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. in the art tent with
a reception and unveiling of the
Visual Art Competition Exhibit and Silent Auction.
The Secret Spaces will open at 7:00.
You must check in and receive your passport in front of City Hall.
